A circular, glass-sided ceremony space set among the tree canopy. For a micro wedding with up to 14 guests, it's perfectly sized — no vast empty rows, just you, your people, and a view that changes beautifully with every season.
Tree Top Escape is a truly unique micro wedding venue tucked into the rolling hills of North Devon. Set among the treetops on a private country estate, it's the kind of place where the world shrinks down to just the two of you — and the handful of people who matter most.
Our exclusive-use packages are designed for couples who want to keep their guest list small — up to 14 people — without compromising on the experience. You get the full run of the venue, a ceremony in 'The Nest', celebrations in the Meadow Room, and a luxury treehouse stay wrapped around your wedding day. If you've ever dreamed of a wedding that feels like an escape rather than an event, you're in exactly the right place.
A circular, glass-sided ceremony space set among the tree canopy. For a micro wedding with up to 14 guests, it's perfectly sized — no vast empty rows, just you, your people, and a view that changes beautifully with every season.
After your ceremony, the Meadow Room is where your celebration continues. A beautifully finished covered space with meadow views — ideal for a wedding breakfast or long lunch. For micro weddings, the atmosphere is genuinely warm and sociable in a way a large room never can be.
Micro weddings are where catering really comes into its own. Think private chef, grazing tables, wood-fired pizzas, afternoon tea, or cocktails on the deck. With a small group, everything feels personal and unhurried — exactly as it should.
A micro wedding is a very small, intentional celebration — typically with 14 guests or fewer. It's not just a 'small wedding'; it has its own character entirely. The focus shifts from logistics to moments: the look on your person's face, the laughter around a table, the feeling of being completely present rather than managing a crowd.
Unlike an elopement (which is usually just the couple plus witnesses), a micro wedding still has the full structure of a traditional wedding — ceremony, vows, a celebrant or registrar, photographs, and a proper celebration afterwards. Just without the 80 people you feel obliged to invite.
Think of it as all the bits you actually want, without any of the bits you don't.
Our micro wedding packages are all-inclusive in the truest sense. You're not building a wedding from scratch with a dozen suppliers — it's designed to just work.

We've carefully handpicked a trusted network of local wedding suppliers who know Tree Top Escape inside out. From photographers and florists to hair and make-up, catering, and celebrants — each one has been chosen because they genuinely get what a micro wedding is about.
For a small wedding, the right supplier makes all the difference. These are people who understand intimacy, timing, and creating something that feels personal rather than off a production line.
Please note: we only welcome our recommended suppliers at Tree Top Escape. No outside suppliers are permitted on site.
If any of the following sounds familiar, it probably is.
Writing a 120-person guest list fills you with dread, not excitement
You've been engaged for a while and just want to actually get married — simply, soon
You'd rather spend your budget on one extraordinary experience than spread it thinly
You want the day to feel like the two of you, not like hosting a big party
Family dynamics make a large wedding complicated — keeping it small keeps it peaceful
One or both of you has been married before and wants something personal and low-key
You love the idea of a destination feel without leaving the UK
There's no single right way to get married. But if the above sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Up to 14 guests, including the couple. If you'd prefer just the two of you plus witnesses, that's an elopement — available through our sister venue Millbrook Estate.
Honestly, at Tree Top Escape the experience is the same — both accommodate up to 14 guests in the same beautiful setting with the same all-inclusive packages. The difference is really in how couples think about their day. People who search for a micro wedding tend to want something radically stripped back and intentional. Those looking for an intimate wedding often just want a small, personal alternative to a big traditional wedding. If you're not sure which sounds like you, just get in touch — we'll help you figure it out.
Both work at Tree Top Escape. For a legally binding ceremony you'll need a registrar or licensed celebrant. If you want a purely meaningful ceremony with a separate legal signing at the register office, a celebrant-led service is a beautiful option.
Absolutely. Tree Top Escape is dog-friendly — if your dog is part of the family, they're welcome on your wedding day too.
Spring, summer, and weekend dates typically go 12–18 months in advance. Winter dates are often available sooner. We also keep a last-minute availability list if you're hoping to marry quickly.
Generally yes. Fewer guests means lower catering costs and less spend across the board. Our packages start from £1,999 and are all-inclusive, so you know exactly what you're spending from day one.
