What Is a Micro Wedding?
A micro wedding is a very small, intentional celebration — typically with 14 guests or fewer. It's not just a 'small wedding'; it has its own character entirely. The focus shifts from logistics to moments: the look on your person's face, the laughter around a table, the feeling of being completely present rather than managing a crowd.
Unlike an elopement (which is usually just the couple plus witnesses), a micro wedding still has the full structure of a traditional wedding — ceremony, vows, a celebrant or registrar, photographs, and a proper celebration afterwards. Just without the 80 people you feel obliged to invite.

How many guests can I have at a micro wedding?
Up to 14 guests, including the couple. If you'd prefer just the two of you plus witnesses, that's an elopement — available through our sister venue Millbrook Estate.

Can I use a celebrant or does it have to be a registrar?
Both work at Tree Top Escape. For a legally binding ceremony you'll need a registrar or licensed celebrant. If you want a purely meaningful ceremony with a separate legal signing at the register office, a celebrant-led service is a beautiful option.
Are dogs welcome at micro weddings?
Absolutely. Tree Top Escape is dog-friendly — if your dog is part of the family, they're welcome on your wedding day too.
How far ahead do I need to book for a micro wedding?
Spring, summer, and weekend dates typically go 12–18 months in advance. Winter dates are often available sooner. We also keep a last-minute availability list if you're hoping to marry quickly.
Is a micro wedding cheaper than a traditional wedding?
Generally yes. Fewer guests means lower catering costs and less spend across the board. Our packages start from £1,999 and are all-inclusive, so you know exactly what you're spending from day one.
